Alabaster and Mesquite     H 14"

Heart's Desire

Our projecting whats within
the heart of another soul,
reflects whats hiding in our own
and reveals our inner goal,

Of deciding we know better
than The God Who knows us all,
that we know the others full intent
and were equipped to make the call.

For we must be very careful

to separate the two,
the person that they are
and all the things they do.

This act frees us to believe

the best about that soul,
and that choice can set us free
from our emotions fierce control.

So when working on a heart,

first, let us work upon our own,
then what we see in others
wont reflect a heart of stone.

And why do you look at the speck that is in

your brothers eye,but do not notice the log

that is in your own eye?
Matthew 7:3
