Callous Pain

sculptures are
not designed to fall four feet onto a tile floor like this one did, they can be repaired."

Callous Pain
Spirit of the Living God
take away my pain,
with all the gentleness You have,
make me feel again.
For I have lost the eyes that see,
within an aching heart,
and calloused over has become,
in me that selfsame part.
Rich in blessings, peace, and joy
given from above,
yet only as a channel
can I comprehend Your love.
My child with all the strength of ten
you couldn't budge the stone,
for I've reserved all work as such
for very My own.
So lift your eyes above you,
in trust let go your hands;
a heart of flesh, through grace I'll give,
just follow My commands.
