Completion
On the sixth day of creation
Adam's rib was taken,
but he voiced no complaints,
once he saw what God was making.
Perfection of beauty
completion of his kind,
within the subsequent reunion,
humanity defined
God chose a rib of graceful curve
as template of her form,
and left a void, right by his heart,
awaiting her return.
For incomplete they both abode,
each with their weak points and their strong,
in their giving to each other,
their lives became a song.
That sang of another union,
of a bride and of a Lamb,
a picture of Completion,
the love of the great I Am.
