Slow Race |
Life is a race
of various speeds
through changing seasons
with different needs.
At times in this race
we get tangled and fall,
at that point there is loss,
but not loss of all.
As the finish line beckons
we can rise and endure,
lay aside weights and sins
and all their allure.
By fixing our eyes
on the one Who has won,
the Source of our faith,
God's only Son.
Who suffered and died,
rose from death, made a way
for us to press on
and finish well on that day.
