The center of it
all
the purpose of
each act,
is to rest in
sweet communion,
not gain another
Holy fact.
Striving but to
please
our just and holy
King,
seems to us quite
good,
but it's not a
fruitful thing.
To realize our
failures,
our weaknesses and
sin,
opens up the door
to let our Savior
in.
A hustle bustle
servant
sending clutter
through the air,
in the midst of
striving,
can't see Jesus
standing there
longing for this
child
to snuggle deep in
His embrace,
and realize his
purpose,
in looking on His
face.
