Freedom's not what we perceive an open door to come and leave, nor is it a 'right' to live in ease and always fly just as we please.
As many know, who own those wings that lofty height no freedom brings. For empty hearts are bound to sin and prison bars have hemmed them in.
Lies are the bars that fence us in guideposts on the road to sin, made up of fears, offense, and rights, that hold us in the dark of night.
When by our side there is One Who gave His very life our soul to save, Who holds the keys, Who is the Door to give us freedom, life, and more.
His name is Truth. He is the Way, His love the very light of day. We've but to yield, to bow the knee, then Truth comes in and sets us free.
