Light Of Understanding

We can't explain the Spirit
with our finite human minds,
anymore than we can grasp
a light beam with our hands.

The language of God's Spirit
is beyond our feeble reach,
understanding is a gift
no man can give or teach.

The heart is the recipient
of wisdom, Truth, and grace,
from there, our words and actions,
evidence our faith.

For through faith we understand
the mysteries of God's Way,
as we rest upon the fact that
things are, as God does say.

And the Spirit that is sent
alongside us in this race,
will open up our eyes,
to leave them looking on God's face.
