On Stronger Wings

On stronger wings he's learned to lean
and thus has won the sky,
finding that the Lord provides
our only means to fly.

From there receive the wisdom
to heal a sickened frame,
looking past the skills applied
he knows from whence the healing came.

Soaring far through God's creation
he is restored out in the wild,
still, with his vast array of knowledge,
he keeps the wonder of a child.

God's grace pours through a person
uniquely day by day,
and so defines that person
through his expressions and his ways.

Like loyalty and sacrifice
expressed in patience, wit, and strength,
a loving husband, father, friend
who daily goes the extra length.

So God has placed His Mark
on these stronger wings of grace,
showing we reflect God's nature
as we daily seek His face.

'But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His
grace toward me did not prove in vain; but
I labored even more than all of them, yet not I,
but the grace of God within me.'
I Corinthians 15:10
